Anthem's Provider Performance Management Team , located in our Value Based Services org, is looking to hire a Director of Product Development. This People Manager will lead the PCMS Product team, dedicated to our provider facing financial population health tool. He/she will build the strategy for the tool and define what our provider performance management capability should look like. Our ideal candidate will be exceptional at managing complex projects across a matrixed organization, working with IT, Operations, and Healthcare Economics teams to manage the work.

Responsible for directing the development and implementation of new products and modifications of existing products.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: Oversees strategy and implementation of new or existing products or product changes/enhancements. Reviews, analyzes and makes recommendations on requested enhancements or additions for existing products. Leverages voice of the customer feedback from internal and external sources, and other methods to determine which opportunities will improve Providers’ willingness to take on upside and downside risk-based arrangements. Monitors product performance through key KPIs both nationally and at the market level. Ensures products meet competitive and legislative needs. Identifies system needs to support short and long term product strategy. Establishes product development policies to guide product development. Monitors product development for compliance. Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.
BA/BS degree and a minimum of 7 years of managed care experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. MBA preferred.
Highly preferred skills and experience:
-Value Based Healthcare contracting experience
-Deep payor experience in areas such as medical cost management, Medicare line of business, value-based care related functions
-Complex Project Management experience, managing Multiple priorities at enterprise scale.
-Former people leader experience
