VBS Provider Enablement Director (JR2218)

Preferred Locations: Norfolk, Virginia, Atlanta, GA, Charlotte, NC, or Indianapolis, IN. This is a remote, work@home position.

The Value Based Solutions – Provider Product Strategy team is focused on developing and scaling solutions to support our provider partners in the journey from fee-for-service to value-based care. This is a growing and dynamic environment, with opportunity to work on a variety of initiatives. Our product suite includes technology solutions, digital care, data analytics and human-enabled services that drive improved value-based outcomes.

The Payment Innovation Director ( VBS Provider Enablement / Digital Product Strategy Director) is responsible for supporting the development and delivery of digital care solutions to Elevance Health’s value-based providers partners. Primary duties of this role will be to:

  • Help drive the development of digital care and service delivery capabilities that leverage Elevance Health assets to advance value-based contracting, patient experience and outcomes, and network/product growth.

  • Work effectively with cross-functional teams including technical, contracting, and operations to ensure digital enablement capabilities can be operationalized.

  • Ensure effective project management to execute on objectives, project timeline and goals associated with multifaceted initiatives across various stakeholders.

  • Drive concept development, tracking, and analyses that support provider targeting, and a quantifiable value proposition that aligns to value-based objectives.

  • Managing the execution and delivery digital provider partnerships.

  • Develop and implement long term profitability strategies for market segments including market positioning, new product design pricing parameters, risk profiles, and legislative/regulatory responses.

  • Working with third party solutions as partners to influence, tailor, and package their solutions for translation into provider partnerships that advance value-based care objectives.

  • Maintain and continuously advance knowledge of value-based care, population health and digital care delivery strategies to ensure Elevance Health’s digital provider enablement initiatives are market differentiated and impactful.

  • Effectively articulating solution capabilities, value proposition, and project execution plans to all levels of internal and external stakeholders.

  • Develop polished presentation materials that enable clear communication of initiatives with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Serves as a product expert and a relationship manager to the core provider and vendors partners.

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS in business or related field and a minimum of 7 years of experience in healthcare systems, and 5 years of experience in a strategy role; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA degree and Previous experience leading design and execution of Value Based Payment Models strongly preferred.

  • Knowledge of Commercial, Medicaid, and/or Medicare network/product solutions are a plus

  • A combination of the following is preferred:

  • Operational and product strategy experience with a provider organization or a payer organization in a role that engages with providers

  • Adept in presenting to all levels of leadership within provider organizations

  • Strong data manipulation and analysis skills with that ability to draw and articulate actionable conclusions from the data,

  • Experience and knowledge of value-based care and digital care delivery

  • Experience with diagnosing provider needs and developing solutions that deliver impact outcomes.

  • Product or service management solution development, value prop creation, buyer engagement, and delivery.

  • Passion for innovation, new solution development, and improving care through value-based strategies.
