Our Reporting team is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer (true title at hire Business Information Consultant) to be responsible for the development of business intelligence tools such as interactive reporting, self-service dashboards, and data visualization. We work in a fast-paced environment that is hungry for analytics and insights. Preferred locations: Illinois, Indiana, Georgia, Virginia, or Ohio

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to

  • End-to-end development of new reports and dashboards and modification of existing reports and dashboards, utilizing Business Objects and/or QlikSense

  • Identify the most impactful layout and presentation of key metrics and translate that vision into easy to use self-service reports or dashboards.

  • Serve as subject matter expert for assigned AIM solutions or capabilities.

  • Provides data integrity by identifying data gaps, errors, anomalies, inconsistencies, and redundancies in the content, structure, and relationships within data; cleans and prepares data, as necessary.

  • Analyze large quantities of data to create summaries, develop models, and extract insights.

  • Provide analytics, business intelligence and data analytics to other business areas, leadership or external customers for data-driven decision making.

  • Design, construct, and maintain Business Objects universes and/or QlikSense data models.

  • Support BI solutions by monitoring and tuning queries and investigating data integrity

  • Write data warehouse and ETL reporting requirements.

  • Establish and continually expand/enhance knowledge of data warehouses/marts, BI and enterprise applications, data, queries/programming, and organizational structure.

  • Serve as on-duty staff, sharing rotation with other team members, ensuring that scheduled reports run in a timely manner and user requests and questions are answered.

  • May serve as team leader for reporting or dashboard projects, mentoring and guiding staff in lower job levels at Consultant level.


Requires a BS/BA degree in related field; minimum of 5 years experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Experience with relational databases and knowledge of query tools and statistical software is required. Ability to manipulate large sets of data. Strong analytical, organizational, presentation, and problem solving skills. Certifications in QlikSense, Business Objects, and/or Business Objects Power BI preferred. Ideal candidates combine business acumen with technical skills to produce data visualizations that facilitate business decisions.Preference will be given to candidates who provide sample data visualizations. This job is more focused on higher level technical expertise, mentoring staff in lower job levels, more customer facing, higher level of collaboration, work is higher volume and/or higher risk, and modeling as compared to the Bus Info Analyst Sr job.
