The Anthem Vendor Management Office (AVMO) supports Anthem’s enterprise objectives and strategic initiatives through active engagement with, and oversight of our third-party ecosystem. AVMO is seeking a highly motivated team player to join us, reporting directly to the Staff VP, AVMO. You will be accountable for executing on the charter of the Global Supply Chain Risk & Compliance (GSCRC) Workgroup. The Workgroup is co-chaired by the Staff VP, AVMO and the Director, Enterprise Risk Management, with specific focus on (TPRM). You will be responsible for developing and managing the Workgroup processes to enable effective execution of the charter, including by developing collaborative relationships across a range of Second Line of Defense functions, to achieve mutual goals. You will also contribute to AVMO’s expertise on third-party risk management, including by staying on top of trends in the third-party risk industry, and identifying, proposing and executing on opportunities to refine the overall Vendor Management Program.

Primary duties include, but are not limited to :

+ + Serving as the focal point for critical activities that require cross-functional collaboration for successful execution of the GSCRC charter, including ensuring risk information and insights are effectively communicated across key stakeholder/risk groups and functions.

  • Functioning as the Subject Matter Expert and providing recommendations to the Workgroup for management escalation and remediation.

  • Providing project management support to track and update the GSCRC program, including by managing the coordination of identified actions with Workgroup members and their teams.

  • Preparing materials for relevant meetings, including the Workgroup and Senior Leadership Team.

  • Facilitating and participating in the monthly Workgroup meetings.

  • Supporting internal & external reporting and proposal requests.

    Additional duties may include, but are not limited to :

    • Being a key point of contact and report to various committees on key matters related to the TPRM function.
  • In conjunction with AVMO management and Global Supply Chain leadership teams, owning and updating the Anthem Vendor Management Program and goals.

  • Designing and implement TPRM policies and practices to ensure compliance with specific laws and related compliance functions.

  • Partnering with the Product Manager (TPRM Platforms) to design, develop and drive continuous improvement of governance processes across all third-party risk management activity.

  • Supporting internal/external audit engagements of varying complexity.

    Required :

    • BA/BS in a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and in writing, to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and senior management.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities, deadlines and workloads that can be varied for extended periods of time.

  • Strong collaboration and partnership with stakeholders across the enterprise.

    Preferred :

    • Masters’ degree.
  • CPA, CIA, CISA, CRISC, CISSP, RIMS-CRMP, CTPRP or other risk management certification.

  • Experience in BFSI / Big 4 / Management Consulting / FinTech / HealthTech / InsureTech / Health Insurance / Managed Care sectors, with a focus on TPRM.

  • Knowledge of leading TPRM frameworks and audit requirements for compliance.

  • Experience with developing and documenting TPRM standards and associated controls. Related experience with development and implementation of risk-based audit plan.

  • Data visualization and reporting related to monitoring and analysis of third-party risks, controls, issues, risk management, and compliance activities.

  • Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) experience.

  • Experience with preparing or reviewing SOC2/HITRUST reports or similar independent audit / third-party attestation reports.
