Workforce Development Director
Responsible for ensuring a qualified, competent, and sufficient workforce is established to consistently deliver needed services in a timely manner.
Collaborates with state partners, managed care providers, and providers to implement statewide workforce development initiatives and activities.
Develops and implement provider incentives and/or recognition for expansion of services and for implementation of innovative WFD strategies, improving quality, and maintaining a sufficient workforce.
Responsible for providing support and oversight as it relates to workforce development, staff training, and retention of the Direct Support Worker (DSW) workforce.
Collaborates with MCO partners, to develop and maintain a Workforce Development plan.
Applies and integrates advanced and predictive analysis, people metrics, and reporting to develop strategic and operational insights for workforce decision-making (e.g., staffing, learning, and development).
Utilize data to forecast future workforce needs and capacity, support and aid LTSS providers in the development and implementation of agency-specific workforce development plans and modifying business models to accomplish more robust goals, track provider compliance with the implementation of workforce strategies and with training in the core competencies, education of MCO staff and Provider staff on workforce issues, business model best practices, strategies and tools and assistance with WFD goal setting.
Assesses organizational staffing and identifies requirements and solutions to meet workforce objectives.
May lead projects or project steps within a broader project or have accountability for ongoing activities or objectives. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
Collects, analyzes and reports data regarding the provider workforce.
Minimum Requirements: Requires a BA/BS in business or a related field and a minimum of 8 years of experience in talent management, organizational development, workforce development, and project management or program management experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
