Financial Consultant or Financial Consultant Sr.*

*Please Note: This position may be filled at either the Financial Consultant or Financial Consultant Sr. Manager will determine level based upon the selected applicant’s skillset relative to the qualifications listed for this position.

Location(s): Indianapolis, IN, Atlanta, GA, Mason, OH

Financial Consultant

The Financial Consultant is responsible for reviewing and preparing interpretation of historical financial data, financial projections, and results. Performs consulting services to support business development studies, economic evaluation, and planning functions. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Identifies complex financial problems or issues, researches solutions, and implements corrective steps to achieve higher level of efficiency.

  • Advises management of various financial models and recommendations.

  • Prepares complex presentations.

  • Prepares financial planning, financial section of annual and quarterly reports to shareholders, applicable government reports, and budget reports. Is used as a resource by staff or outside departments.

  • Trains and reviews the work of lower level Financial Analysts.

  • Review and prepare interpretation of historical financial data, financial projections and results

  • Performs consulting services to support planning functions

  • Prepares analysis of results for lines of business to support allocation reviews

  • Identifies and prepares monthly journal entries in support of the month end close process

  • Identifies and creates solutions to complex financial problems or issues

  • Researches solutions and implements corrective steps to achieve higher level of operational & financial efficiency

  • Trains and reviews the work of lower level Financial Analysts.

Financial Consultant Sr.

The Financial Consultant Sr. is responsible for providing financial analysis and preparing analysis of results for lines of business. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Works with management to provide decision support analysis.

  • Conducts and documents complex financial and business related analyses and research fields including financial and expense performance, rate of return, depreciation, working capital and investment.

  • Focuses on business improvement initiatives and leads and directs projects.

  • Provides guidance to less experienced financial consultants.

  • Review and prepare interpretation of historical financial data, financial projections and results

  • Performs consulting services to support planning functions

  • Prepares analysis of results for lines of business to support allocation reviews

  • Identifies and prepares monthly journal entries in support of the month end close process

  • Identifies and creates solutions to complex financial problems or issues

  • Researches solutions and implements corrective steps to achieve higher level of operational & financial efficiency

  • Trains and reviews the work of lower level Financial Analysts.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a BA/BS in accounting or finance and a minimum of 3 years experience in general accounting, finance, or budget and planning; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, CPA, or CMA preferred.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Ability to work independently as well as a part of a team to support the business.

  • Strong experience with Microsoft Excel.

  • Experience with Hyperion Smartview/Planning and Peoplesoft GL.

    Minimum Qualifications

Requires a BA/BS in accounting or finance and a minimum of 5 years budgeting, forecasting and accounting financial reporting experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, CPA, CMA, FSA, and/or CFA preferred.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Ability to work independently as well as a part of a team to support the business.

  • Strong experience with Microsoft Excel.

  • Experience with Hyperion Smartview/Planning and Peoplesoft GL.
